My Trip up to Wrangell Alaska , 2025
Wrangell is a hard place to get to. One flight going north from Seattle a day. So early in the morning, leaving from Seattle after my 8-hour layover.
So, leaving late from San Diego, 1st class you still get a hot meal. The Alaska Airlines lounge is closed late at night, so I need to find a place to hang out and wait.
Seattle airport is open all night, well most of the restaurants and stores are closed, I did find an open coffee and baked goods place opened in a well-occupied area. The tables had power so that was nice for my laptop and tablet. Was able to watch a few movies while waiting, and a few Hot Chocolates.
Yes the last pic is a breakfast offered on the way up to Wrangell from Seattle. and Yes a had a few Rum and Cokes
Wrangell has a small airport. Was picked up with another couple also on my tour with Ron. Some images of my hotel room. nice large room. It was upstairs and with no elevator,

First day was up to the Glacier. Stop over at a seaside town of Petersburg

Then next day, I had to wait for the late afternoon flight out going south to Seattle. So I had some lunch before I left. Some really nice Fish n Chips

With the late flight our of Wrangell I had a long overnight layover for the first flight out in the morning to San Diego. So I found the same area I was in on the flight up. enjoyed some hot chocolate and a apple fritter. Then when I got on the flight I was served a nice hot breakfast, and yes a Rum and Coke,
